Our Team
Charles E. Walton
Charles has over 40 years of experience in public accounting, including nine years with two international accounting firms. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Richmond. He was a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, and the AICPA Tax Division. Charles served on the Board of Directors of a local community bank. He has been active in various community organizations and is past President of both the Mechanicsville Rotary Club and the Rockville Community Center. Currently, he is active in the Mechanicsville Rotary Club and an active member of his church. Charles resides in Ashland with his wife, Linda. Together they enjoy traveling in their RV to see family and friends. He is a lifetime resident of Hanover County.
David R. Walton, CPA, CFP®
David (the son of Charles) joined Charles E. Walton & Co., PC in 2004. He worked there until his graduation from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Accounting and a minor in Economics. Soon after graduation, he went to work for a regional public accounting firm. There he rose through the ranks to Tax Supervisor. In August of 2010 he rejoined Charles E. Walton & Co., PC. David is in his 18th year of practice and specializes in individual, small business and trust & estate taxation. He works with small business owners and individuals to offer sound financial and taxation advice to achieve their desired goals. David is a member of the American Institute of CPAs Tax Division and the Virginia Society of CPAs. He is a Rotarian, serving as a past President of the Mechanicsville Rotary Club as well as being an active member of his church. David lives in Glen Allen with his wife, Amanda, and his three sons. In his spare time, David enjoys playing cards and reading about history, politics, and economics.
